Sacrament Preparation

2024-2025

Dear Parents,

If you and your family are ready to take on the task of preparing for the holy sacraments, I invite you to please register your child/ren for the appropriate one below.

If your child is of age to receive their First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Communion, my recommendation is to focus on First Reconciliation this year and then join us again next year. This is to avoid cramming-in and overwhelm, but allow them to truly focus on the sacrament of First Reconciliation.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me: Jen Albee at jen@christthekingnh.org or 603-224-2328.

BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE: If your child received the sacrament of baptism in a parish other than Christ The King Parish in Concord, NH, we will need a copy of their baptismal certificate for our records. If you have the certificate, you can simply snap a photo of it and email it to Jen Albee at jen@christthekingnh.org or to Kathy Planchet at kathy@christthekingnh.org. If you do not have their baptismal certificate in your possession, please contact the parish in which your child was baptized and request a copy of the certificate, or let me know and I will contact the parish directly. Once you receive the certificate, please take a photo and email it to me or Kathy.

SUNDAY MASS: I understand the busyness of family life and I know how overwhelming it can be to toss in yet another activity or thing to be done. If you've never been to Emmaus and if Sunday Mass isn't in your weekly schedule, adding these things might seem overwhelming, be assured that is not the intent. That is why I've set up our schedule the way it is. You'll notice our next Sacrament meeting isn't until November. This is to allow ample time for you to start working Sunday Mass and Emmaus into your (I'm sure) already busy schedule. Please keep in mind that the sacraments and Holy Mass are not boxes to be checked but rather God's miraculous and remarkable way of reaching into the here and now to encounter His people.

EMMAUS: If you haven't registered for Emmaus, you can register for either the Friday night or Sunday afternoon session HERE. This page will also inform you of all the Emmaus dates for the season. You will notice when you visit this webpage that there is an online option for Emmaus. The online option is not available for families who are preparing for the sacraments.

RESOURCES: Below you'll find the schedules for our First Reconciliation meetings and lessons and our Confirmation & First Communion meetings and lessons.
